Supporting jobseekers into sustainable employment

Working Well East Midlands helps individuals aged 18 and over who are disabled, living with mental health challenges, or managing long-term health conditions to access meaningful and sustainable employment.

Recognising each person’s uniqueness, the service focuses on strengths, skills, and aspirations to provide tailored support that breaks down barriers to sustained employment, including:

  • A personalised approach to job seeking, based on individual skills and capabilities

  • CV writing and review, tailored to specific career goals

  • Guidance on benefits

  • Advice on self-employment

  • Collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure health remains a priority

  • Engagement with employers to raise awareness and support individual needs

  • Acting as a point of contact with prospective employers on the individual’s behalf

  • Career advice and access to opportunities

  • Interview preparation and guidance

  • Ongoing support after the individual has started or returned to work

The service works operates across Nottingham, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe in partnership with the Primary Care teams.
